Digitalization is rapidly transforming the energy sector, and E.ON aims to stay at the forefront. At Elm\u00e4ssan in Malm\u00f6, the company is exhibiting to connect with the industry, test new ideas, and demonstrate how digital tools can make the power grid safer, smarter, and more accessible. For E.ON, participating in Elm\u00e4ssan is all about dialogue and collaboration with the industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s important for us to meet the users of our systems and check how our digital tools work in practice. We look forward to the conversations and the chance to get direct feedback,\u201d says Anette Friberg.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The background of Alstermo Online<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Alstermo Online platform was born out of a clear need. E.ON\u2019s previous plans and documentation had become outdated and hadn\u2019t kept pace with technological developments.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Rather than continuing with traditional methods\u2014physical site visits and photo archives\u2014E.ON decided to innovate.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to digitize and make our plans and instructions accessible using modern technology. Together with Rejlers, we developed a digital platform where our entire power grid can be visualized in a realistic 3D environment,\u201d explains Jonas Gilhewijk.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Alstermo Online is based on a fictional model of E.ON\u2019s infrastructure, representing everything from substations to customer connections. The model is inspired by E.ON\u2019s real training facility in Alstermo, Sm\u00e5land.<\/p>\n
